The ginkgo leaf has not changed in two hundred million years. There is a reason for that. The design began with a Vivai del Sud palm leaf mirror spotted in a small London gallery — stopped not by its scale, but by its restraint. The way a single botanical idea had been allowed to become an object without apology or embellishment. The Ginkgo Leaner begins there. The frame is hand-wrapped with rattan, warm to the touch and honest in its making. It leans against the wall. It stands freely without fixings. It asks nothing. It gives everything.
