The Zigzag | After Rietveld
Designed by Bill Parry for Rattanology
There is a geometry to certain objects that needs no explanation. The Zigzag simply is.
Drawn from the legacy of Gerrit Rietveld's 1934 Zig-Zag — a chair that reduced seating to its purest structural logic — Bill Parry's interpretation replaces timber with handwoven natural rattan over a hardened steel frame. The Z-shaped silhouette remains. The material is entirely Rattanology's own. Each set arrives with a companion side table, woven in the same rattan, sharing the same geometric language.
Limited edition of 50. Three artist proofs. Each piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
