Rattan Folding Screen Night & Day

A folding screen that explores the contrast between light and darkness through handcrafted rattan. Designed by Bill Parry, co-founder of Rattanology.

The Night Screen
Against a black lacquered background, organic rattan leaves reach toward a moon crafted from capiz shell inlay. The contrast creates a serene nocturnal landscape.

The Day Screen
Natural rattan inlay forms intricate leaf designs, crowned by a brass sun that captures the warmth of daylight. The organic patterns showcase the beauty of natural materials.

Each screen requires many hours of meticulous handwork. Artisans carefully inlay each piece of rattan, capiz shell, and brass. The folding design allows for flexible placement and easy storage.
