The ginkgo leaf has not changed in two hundred million years. There is a reason for that.

The design began with a Vivai del Sud palm leaf mirror spotted in a small London gallery — stopped not by its scale, but by its restraint. The way a single botanical idea had been allowed to become an object without apology or embellishment. The Ginkgo Leaner begins there. The frame is hand-wrapped with rattan, warm to the touch and honest in its making. It leans against the wall. It stands freely without fixings. It asks nothing. It gives everything.

The Making

The Ginkgo Leaner is handcrafted in the Philippines by master rattan weavers with generations of expertise in working with natural fibres. Each frame is wrapped by hand using skin-on rattan — a technique that preserves the natural texture and warmth of the material. No two are identical.
