Lisse is named for what the lacquer does to the rattan beneath it — it smooths, deepens, transforms.

The natural weave remains visible, but rendered now in a rich satin black that shifts with the light. Tall and slender at 62 cm, Lisse stands with the quiet confidence of a piece that knows exactly what it is. A lamp that does not announce itself — it simply changes the room.

The Making

Made in the Philippines. Each stem braided and shaped by hand — no two identical. The black lacquer is applied in careful layers, each coat allowed to settle before the next, until the surface achieves its characteristic depth and sheen. Each piece ships with a handwritten Certificate of Making.
